On the Edge

For those of you with a Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 I command you to download the Mirror's Edge demo now. It's out. It's awesome.

Imagine a world, not unlike our own, controlled by the few, and you, you're a runner. You traverse the city via rooftop and liberate the masses by transporting information off the grid. This game puts you in control of a runner named Faith. In a first-person view you will wall run, leap from buildings, zipline over streets, and fight your way through the city. Peep this trailer for more.

Obama & Palin rock the virtual battlefield!

In this video you'll see Barack Obama and Sarah Palin as they kick ass through Mercenaries 2. This is no joke. They are being added to the game via download. Granted, I don't play the game, and never will, but this is still fun.

Pumpkin. Pumpkin. Who's got the pumpkin?

Happy Halloweenie interwebernet! Today is Foto Phriday, and have I got some photos for you... pumpkin photos. Let's carve this bitch!

Ok, so first up are photos of the pumpkins that Molly and I carved. First in light, then in dark. As you can see Molly did Jack Skellington and I did the infamous text smiley. w00t w00t

Next up is a house that's not too far from my place. This guy has a ton of pumpkins, and at first I thought they were all hand carved, and placed outside, but they aren't. They're all plastic, but they still look cool.

And to end our pumpkin madness I have a video I'd like to show everyone. Now, every year about this time I have talked about this video online in one way or another so it would just seem silly to break tradition now. This is the best short film I've ever seen about a pumpkin. It is called "Life and Death of a Pumpkin." Enjoy. Freedom!

In other news, for those of you that don't know I was able to submit an application for the early NXE (New Xbox Experience) preview program, and today the invitation e-mails of those selected were mailed out. Unfortunately, I didn't get one. *big tear* I guess I'll just have to wait till November 19th with the rest of the savages.

Zombocalypse!

New "Left 4 Dead" trailer has me craving!

Birds & Brooks or How I Learned to Fear and Respect the Army Surplus

Well, today has been a busy one. I've been running around all day yesterday and today getting my costume ready for tomorrow. Oooohs I'm extracited, y'alls! Yesterday I went to the Birds & Brooks Army Surplus store off 6th Street, and boy were they nice. Creepy nice even. As soon as I walked in the tall, skinny, acne ridden register jockey sporting fatigues asked if he could help me. I mentioned that I needed pants. He asked if they were for a costume, and I said yes. He took me over the pants, and then helped me size up. Apparently, in Army the waist for pants is small, medium, and large, and the length is short, medium, and long. I'm a large medium if you're wondering. It's my lingering food baby fat. Then he directed me to the dressing room, and instructed me to try them on before buying. I tried on quite a few different kinds of pants before deciding on a pair of fatigues. While, I was sorting through pants PFC Registerald Jockey walked throughout the store and handed individually wrapped lifesaver mints to everyone. As I mentioned before, creepy nice. As I was there a patron was looking to purchase an AK-47. Oooohh, it looked like fun. You know, interweb, I've never fired a gun, but I have an increasing fetish with them. It may be time to get my FOID and hit up a firing range. When I left, PFC Jockey, told me to have a nice day, of course, and then he said, "we look forward to seeing you again." Then he said, "they always come back." Which was kind of creepy AND funny.

Today, I hit up the Toys 'R Us, and found the perfect gun for the ensemble. I just finished taking it apart for a paint job which I'll do later tonight. There were about 20 baby screws hiding in that damned thing. I blistered my finger getting them out too. Not only were they screwed in, but they were glued on the tips. It's ok though, this costume will be worth all the pain.

That's about it. Today is Costume-Creation-and-Alteration day, or "CC&A Day" because yesterday was Gathering-Materials-for-Costume day, or "GMC Day". I still have quite a bit costume work to do. So, I am off like an Audi jimmy dress on prom day eating cake!

Technical difficulties

I accidentally upgraded to blogger layouts so there will be a period of adjustment as I fine tune things. Deal with it!

Home Alone

So.... I broke my key off in the lock of the door to my apartment last Saturday. I've been having issues with it for the past two weeks. Usually every couple of days it would take me about 5-10 minutes to get my key out of the lock or even turn it. However, I was trapped in my own apartment til I could call the office on Monday. Not that this is anything new. I've been sick, and confined because of it. Well, maintenance came and pulled the key out and then used graphite to lube up the lock, and now everything is gravy, baby. Now, I can come and go like a respectable human being. ...and then dinosaurs stabbed the guy sitting next to me.

In other news, I'm going to try to find the last parts to my halloweenie costume today. Wish me luck! *fingers crossed* You'll see pictures soon enough.

Belated Muzak Monday!

I see I forgot to post yesterday. Anywhoozle, to make up for it I've posted a song today. I pulled out an great classic for late Monday's Muzak, "Debaser" by The Pixies. I happened to play this one last night on teh Rock Band 2, and we rocked out!

Also, last night Molly and I carved pumpkins. Look forward to some pics of THE BEST PUMPKINS IN THE WORLD!

That's it for today. It's boring here. I just glanced over at my virtual Vista sticky note and it says "BOOORING!". That about sums it up. Ha Ha Ha HOOO!

Fabled Zombie Schnitzel

So, it just occured to me that I forgot to post a photo on Friday. My bad. It's been a rush of a weekend around here. It must have just slipped my mind. Well, I'm going to do it now. Get ready! Get set!
Bam! Ok, so as I mentioned before I've been lost in Albion for quite some time now. So, ther other day brother Bryan and I were playing, and he had me kill his wife. Then child services came and put his baby in an orphanage. However, for some odd reason or another the baby crib that was in his house just appeared floating in the sky on my screen, but not on his. I realize the quality of this is pretty shotty. I rushed it, lay off.

In other amazing news, everyone's favorite table-top zombie survival game, Zombies!!! is coming to Xbox Live Arcade, Playstation Network, and Steam next year. I don't know how many times we've played Zombies!!! and I've brought up just how cool, and easy it would be to make this an XBLA title.

So, the German Banquet in Pawnee last night was amazing! They are doing it again in December, and I'm going back. P.S. I furkin' love Schnitzel! If anyone is interested it's held at the Coalminer's Hideaway, and they will start taking reservations on December 1st.

Home for the Hollandaise

Is there such a thing as a good Perkin's? I don't think so. Instead, I'm going to be forced to make my own eggs benedict at home.

3) In the meantime I'll be in Albion

Lost in Albion

It's late, and I'm feeling better. I would have posted earlier, but I've been wrapped up in Fable 2. I've been sick for the last couple of days so I haven't been able to play. I actually put those days aside to play, but now that I'm better I dedicated all of today to take in as much as I can. Boy have I been doing just that. Just call me couch fatass. I've been in my jammies ALL DAY playing Fable 2.

*pops back*

Ok, so it's not the greatest RPG ever made like Peter Molyneux claimed (like he always claims). It's pretty good though. Not great. Let me emphasis that, not great, but a solid good. If you're looking for a big pretty action-adventure RPG fantasy world to run around in then this is your game. I have a few problems with it, which I will state now. However, everything else about this game is gravy.

1) Multi-player. It's co-op, that's cool. However, one can't bring their custom characters into a game. Only two people per game.; one is the host, and the other joins. The joiner has to select from a stock of henchmen models, and can only bring in their abilities from their character. Lame. Why can't I bring in my custom character? Why? Oh, and during co-op the camera is fixed for both parties, and there is an invisible tether between the two. I could understand all of these hangups if I were playing split screen because the CPU couldn't process two worlds at the same time, but we have two machines here. What gives?

Ok, so that's about my biggest complaint. Sorry, I thought there were more. The co-op does allow for you to turn on orbs so that you can see orb representations of your friends or anyone playing fly around the world in real-time. When you get near an orb you can actually talk to them via headset. Which is cool. You don't see their model, but you see an orb. Eh. You can trade with orbs, or view their stats, or even hop into their game. All pretty cool, but could have been better. I'm seriously hoping that there will be a co-op patch down the line that will allow for everything I mentioned earlier.

Ok, back to more Fable 2! Peace out, paupers!

Lips on your Xbox

So, ever since I got my Xbox 360 I only keep my original Xbox around for Karaoke Party Revolution. Well, this November I may not have a reason to keep it around now that Lips is coming out for the Xbox 360. Peep this video.

The game, developed by iNiS (Elite Beat Agents, Gitaroo-Man) will allow you to upload your own music via Zune and I'm assuming Windows Media Player as well. The game will come with two shiny wireless mics, and if anyone is singing solo anyone can pick up the second mic, shake it, and instantly in mid-song two player duet mode is activated. Also, the game has a very lenient grading scale. So, anyone that wants to sing, no matter how good or bad they consider themselves will feel prompted to do so without a harsh rating system breathing down their throat. Honestly, I'm a little more than excited about this. *glee*

I'm Back, Bitches!

That's right Blogger, the bitch is back! For any of you that have me on MySpace or Facebook you know I've been posting quite frequently. Well, I thought I would start posting those here as well. Try, and breath some life back into this dead horse, you know? That's it. Look forward to more. Oh yeah, I added a media player. Look forward to weekly updates. PEACE!
