Kramer Goes Krazy

Sure we all lose our cool every once in awhile, but how many have gone krazy, Kramer-style?

Not many people I know of have, except maybe Mel Gibson. Now, that tirade was a bit unsettling, I agree. However, what's also disturbing is how spacey Michael Richards looks during his apology on The Late Show. He's either going through a lot or going krazy.

better fonts

This week's website is for all those self-publishers out there. Looking for a better way to spice up your mundane text or graphic. Then head on over to better fonts and check out their selection of over 10,000 fonts.... (wait for it) for FREE!

That's right. I said free. Who doesn't love free things. Free bread with the purchase of a sandwich, free flies with the purchase of manure, free low self-esteem with the purchase of a PS3. Well, these fonts are no different. They're abso-fucking-lutely free.

better fonts has a great layout too. Scroll from the large selection of fonts and then a preview of most, if not all, of the characters of the font will appear so you'll know exactly what you're getting. Then download to your heart's content.

So, go on and spice up that letter head of that boring "you're canned" letter and leave them walking with a smile.

Bad Vibes

This week's website is all about sounds that make you SQUIRM, not my opinion on the Cyndi Lauper and Jeff Goldblum flick. Bad Vibes is on a quest to find what humans think is the Worst Sound In The World orld rld. The site is backed by Salford University's Acoustic Research Centre and is led by Prof. Trevor Cox.

Once you are at the site you'll state a bit about yourself; gender, age, and location. Then you'll listen to a number of sounds and rate how bad they are on a range of Not Horrible to Horrible. Your vote is then sifted into the database and goes into their research.

What sound will drive you over the edge? A screaming child? A yapping dog? Fingernails across a chalkboard? Do you have what it takes to rate them all?

Mixed-Drink.Com

So, my girlfriend asked me what kind of mixed drink to fix, but seeing as I usually drink beer I had to jump online for some suggestions. That's when I hit up my favorite boozamahol site, Mixed-Drink.Com. When it comes to mixing drinks this is the place to be.

MD has a handy search bar so you can search how to make a specific mixed drink or you can browse drinks by what alcohol they contain. Not only do they have an extensive list of mixed drinks, but they also have recipes for party foods, such as appetizers, dips, pizzas, subs, and pub favorites.

So, next time you're looking for a new drink hit up Mixed-Drink.Com and taste the possibilities.

Coming Soon

I bring you not one, but two new trailers for Spider-Man 3 and The Simpsons.

Spider-Man 3

The Simpsons trailer is being hosted at ColbertonDemand.

It's A Tie!

WatchMojo has a three part tutorial on tying tie knots. It covers the Four in Hand, Half Windsor, and Full Windsor. Check it out, and then tie yourself up. Don't ever EVER clip it.

Super Mario GTA

Recently on Robot Chicken (s02e18 - Lust for Puppets) Mario and Luigi get their double dashing asses lost in Vice City and hilarity ensues.

Stop Motion Music

The creative genius behind "hyper active" featured earlier on Error 204 is back with more stop motion music madness. This time he's breaking out a piano and drum kit. His name is Lasse Gjertson and he doesn't know how to play either of them, but he does know how to edit video to make a great song.

Bleenks

Ok gang, this week's WW is a better, bigger, greater version of a previous WW, Download-Tv-Now. Bleenks has a larger selection of shows, but still uses Dailymotion as its source.

Now instead of just primetime animation you can catch up on Prison Break, Entourage, Nip/Tuck or any of those other niche dramas out there. I would recommend checking out It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. It's one of my personal favs.

Well, that's it. Sorry to cut this short, but I have a long night of Guitar Hero II ahead of me. Go now and ingest some delicious on-demand television.

Nobody's Lost

Nobody's Watching is back with yet another video in their long line of internet promotion. This time they are praising one of the best shows on television today, next to 12 oz. Mouse, Lost.

This video makes me think about how excited I get for Lost. Then I question whether or not I'm a loser for a moment, but then I see the special appearance from a Lost cast member and get all better then.

Enjoy!

The Price Is Gone

After 35 years of entertaining the elderly and college fratties Bob Barker is stepping out of the Price Is Light. VH1 Best Week Ever.TV blog has a list of top 10 things "we'll" miss about Bob Barker. My favorite is him losing his cool in the clip they include, which I shall repost here. Joy is an idiot.

Don't forget to have your pets spayed or neutered.

One Hit Wonders

The A.V. Club has a great article about before-their-time TV shows that were cancelled after (or before) their first season. The list is composed of 15 shows with descriptions of their greatness. Included below, in no particular order, are the shows. Check out the A.V. Club for their complete descriptions.
  • Cop Rock
  • Harsh Realm
  • The Dana Carvey Show
  • Now And Again
  • Cupid
  • Nothing Sacred
  • Profit
  • Freaks and Geeks
  • Undeclared
  • Stella
  • Firefly
  • Police Squad!
  • Action
  • TV Funhouse
  • That's My Bush!
Some of these shows I don't remember, but sound amazing, like Cop Rock. It was a cop drama musical. That sounds like a hoot! Could you imagine a criminal breaking into to song for his confession and plea or two officers having a sing off while trying to break the confession of the criminal. What about a sing off instead of a shoot-out? Throw in weekly musical guests as guest actors and you've got a sensation.

Dope.

I can't remember if I've posted this before or not so stop me if I have.

G4TV airs episodes of Star Trek in what they call Star Trek 2.0. They screen is filled with message boards and popularity polls as the episode airs. You can login to G4TV.com and interact with the boards and polls as the episode airs. Anyway, their spots for the show are done in stop motion action figure animation ala Robot Chicken, and Charlie Murphy does the voice of Spock.

Here is one of my favorite spots.

QWERTY Warriors

FreeWebArcade has a new game out called QWERTY Warriors. Here's out it works. Enemies come at you and they have words under them. To kill the enemies type the word and hit enter. That's it. It's a lot of fun if you've some time to kill, and seeing as you're typing the whole time just turn down the sound and no one at the office will be the wiser.

It starts out really slow, but as soon as the mechs step in the pace picks up and you'll be begging for a pause button before carpal tunnel sets in.

I played the game on the Medium difficulty setting and scored 78,160. Top that hot shot.

Hate Groups?

Tolerance.org has a very informative map of all the active chapters of Hate Groups as of 2005. Groups ranging from Ku Klux Klan, Racists Skinheads, Neo-Nazis, Black Seperatists, Jewish Defense Leagues, and many many more are identified by location.

California comes in the highest with a total of 52 active Hate Groups and Florida is nipping at its heels with 50.

Illinois comes in at 22, and as of 2k5 had a practicing chapter of the KKK in Springfield. Whether they are still active, I don't know.

Where does your hate stand?

Ahhh Yes. My Documentary.

Hey gang! I was watching one of my favorite shows of all time the other day, Space Ghost: Coast to Coast. So, I thought I would show everyone my favorite episode of the series, Kentucky Nightmare (S07E01). It features the introduction of a particular sharkish character that now taunts Mouse on 12 oz. Mouse.

It also spawned one of my favorite sayings, that in 3kalbia is now synonymous with playing Halo, "TO THE CREEK!" You see during the first days of Halo 2 we ran into a certain player, Double0Bogart, and quickly befriended the heavy-drinking, video game loving Bogey. During our first nights of play we would shout "TO THE CREEK!" and then we would all rush to the creek (which is in the middle of Beaver Creek) and commit mass suicide with grenades. We all got a good laugh. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.... ha. Whew, that was a good one. Now on with the post!

God bless YouTube. Now all of you can see the genius of Space Ghost.

12 oz. Mouse theory...
Imagine if Shark from 12 oz. Mouse is the same shark from this episode and that he is on a mission to find a show to help save Dr. Worm's failing liquor chain. What do you think?

It's A Very Very... Gears Of War

Next tuesday two games I'm highly anticiapting come out, Guitar Hero 2 and Gears of War. I've already talked about GH2. Today I'm hear to talk about Gears of War. GoW is being released for the Xbox 360, and my roommate (The Gabe) is fortunate enough to have one, AND have GoW reserved.

The game is an over the shoulder shooter spawned from the Unreal brainchild, Cliffy Bleszinski, or Cliffy B to his friends and fans. It looks stunning as far as graphics go. It's main appeal is going to be the over-the-net co-op gameplay throughout the entire game. You'll be able to link up with someone else who has the game and play through entire game with them.

It's set in a post-apocalyptic world in which "they" (consisting of undead hordes and giant creepy crawlers) have ascended to the surface and destroyed everything. It's dark. It's gloomy. You kill things. You survive. That's about it. However, this game looks great, and promises to focus more on "pop-and-stop" gameplay as opposed to "run-and-gun" gameplay. You'll be running for cover, shooting, ducking, shooting, ducking, shooting, running for more cover, and so on as opposed to running, shooting, running, shooting, running and shooting, shooting and running.

I'm truly looking forward to the atmosphere, and lived-in world that this game will bring to the player. I'm also anticipating and gripping plot. If not, then it could all be for lost.

However, this amazing trailer, which does a great job of utilizing Gary Jules' Tears for Cover of Mad World is simply that... amazing. It adds a nice touch of artistic dichotomy to game advertising that hasn't been scene a lot. It's almost like a movie teaser than a game trailer. The verse used from the song "the dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had" foreshadows the danger presented in the game. The violence and horror coupled with the soothing music creates a terrorfying effect which sends shivers up your spine and forces you to sympathize with the character and his unescapable plight.

It also brings back fond memories of Donnie Darko.

I'm tired. Enough of my talk. Watch it for yourself and tell me what you think.

For extra credit watch the music video for Gary Jules' Mad World cover by Tears for Fears.

Website Wednesday #4
The Film Crew

You want more Mystery Science Theater 3000? You got it! Former MST3K cast member/writers, Kevin Murphy, Bill Corbett, and Michael J. Nelson have formed The Film Crew. It's like MST3K minus the skits and silhouettes.

Essentially, what they do is create a side-splittingly funny comentary track to awful B movies and then sell them together as a DVD.

They are just getting off the ground with this project, and you can get in on the ground floor. Right now at their website you can watch the first few minutes of one of four movies (with their commentary tracks) that they are thinking of doing a complete commentary tracks for and releasing for purchase. After watching the bits you can then vote and decide which one is released first.

This project is much like Michael J. Nelson's Rifftrax, except Mike is only releasing .mp3 files for sell that you sync up to the actual movie. Plus he does recent films like The Matrix, Star Wars: Episode 1, Road House, Point Break, X-Men, XXX, Crossroads, and many many more. Kevin Murphy has also been joining Mike on his Rifftrax as of lately. The Rifftrax run anywhere from 99 cents to 2.99.
